How Your Mattress Can Promote Wellness

We strive for wellness in all aspects of life: we think about it in terms of our relationships, work life, diet, and stress management. However, in the midst of balancing everything on our to-do list each day, we often neglect one of the most important parts of wellness, sleep.

The Importance of Sleep Health

According to the American Sleep Association, 37.9% of adults unintentionally fall asleep during the day once a month, and between 37%-40% of adults report short sleep duration. The inability to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night results in lack of proper sleep (experts recommend 7-9 hours for adults), which affects the ability to function properly throughout the day and negatively impacts overall health.

Perhaps you know how important sleep is for your health, yet you aren’t sure how to remedy the problem. We are too busy, too overloaded, too stressed, and too exhausted – which only worsens the cycle. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) recommends creating a routine for going to bed and waking up at the same time each day (including weekends), and avoiding screen time before going to sleep. It’s also important to stay active and allow time to relax before bed. These practices are helpful, but many Americans still have trouble keeping a schedule to maintain healthy sleep.

Where You Rest Makes a Difference

Routines are important, but even with the best intentions; it is difficult to stay asleep if your environment causes you to wake up multiple times throughout the night.

CHF has a research and development team who spend their time understanding sleep and the technology that can help improve it because we believe that quality in our mattress ticking makes all the difference. Falling asleep and staying asleep is influenced by your body’s ability to stay comfortable, cool, and clean, and we are committed to help maintain those imperative aspects of sleep wellness.

The fabric that covers a mattress impacts the effectiveness of the mattress as a whole. Quality ticking improves the longevity and performance of the mattress and protects its underlying parts.

How does sleep innovation technology through fibers and finishes in ticking affect the person sleeping?

Cool: Affects the body’s ability to regulate temperature during sleep, allowing you to stay asleep longer.

Comfort: Increases softness and nourishes the body during sleep by cushioning and supporting body joints.

Clean: Provides antimicrobial support so that the body can fight infection more readily while regenerating during sleep.

We are committed to continual research and education in promoting sleep wellness through high quality products.
